We finally saw our ocean front view. Well, bay front view I should say. We made it to Bar Harbor, Maine which borders Acadia National Park.
Our view from the camp site.
A great pool with a slide (rare) that unfortunately closes today.
And onto the LOBSTER!! When in Maine, you must eat lobster, right? Well, we found the place and bugged the heck out of the cooks with our inexperience.
The steaming vats.
Our little guys who went in brown and googly eyed, and came out bright red and dead.
To the table. With instructional help from google, we cracked them open and sampled our first Maine lobsters. Mixed reviews from the clan. One said he rated it 4/5 and another said he vomited in his mouth. All enjoyed examining our first kill.
Not sure we'd spend another $35 for our next sample, but it was a necessary experience for exploring Maine. Now, we have to figure out how to get the smell of lobster off our hands.
