Matt : Blog entry #1.

The 2nd Johnson family RV adventure is almost here.  We've accepted an offer on our house and close June 30th.  We will live at the cabin through July and hopefully take off in the RV the first week of August.  There is lots to do between now and then. Our home (for the next 8 mo.) was purchased in April in Arizona. Leesy, Papa and myself drove it back to Boise and now we are making all of the necessary preparations for life on the road (new A/C, new tires and some random minor repairs inside).  I'm still in search for a good tow vehicle which will most likely be a Honda CR-V.  After many hours of research it seems to be the best car for us (especially being that it is AWD and will be useful in Idaho when we get back).

Selling the house is bitter sweet.  We know that in the long run it is best for our family but it doesn't make it any easier for any of us to let it go.  We have loved it for 12 years. My hope is that we all learn that its not the house that makes a home. So onward we go for life's next adventure.  Our last RV adventure (2 years ago) lasted 77 days which we hope to increase to 8 months or more this time around.  We will be heading to the east coast, then down to Florida, across the gulf coast to Texas and then Arizona and who knows after that.  That is our rough estimated route with many opportunities for adventure along the way.  We are very excited to say the least.
